Mini E Helps With The Twidiculous Can Drive

Recently, I felt the need for some twi-merch, but, had no money. So, I held a can drive, (for more deets, click here) that no one donated to, but, it worked out okay, I just ended up taking ours back last night and got about $17, and my in-laws back today and got about $26 dollars woowoo! Hooray for having lots of drinkers around!!!

Last night, it took me about an hour to collect all our cans from around the house, and then, as it was one of the most blustery nights we've had in forever (I lost about fifty cents worth of cans, three helium balloons, and nearly my cart to the wind tunnel the outdoor return created), it took me about two hours to return them. Thankfully, Mini E was there to help!

he helped me pick just the right thing to listen to while we returned the cans

he helped load the cart (in the cupholder)

this is how many cans we had the first time, the return here isn't closed off at the ends
and I had to hold the carts with my feet while I returned cans
so the carts didnt' blow away : P

I was generally pleased to survive the gale force winds (I think I read later they were going at approx 45mph) and that we collected nearly $17.00 from what I knew was going to be the smaller can stash, but, was less than thrilled with how poorly kept up their machines were (two were broken, one was on the fritz, and their bottle machine kicked out at least half of my bottles, we had to do hand count on 101 by the end!!!) and that their machines are outside. Yes, they at least put a roof over it now, but, it only has one wall so it's open at both ends, normally not a problem, but, last night was trouble! Thankfully, even though they have the right to refuse to cash out more than 144 bottles worth of cash ($7.10) they didn't exercise that right and honored all my slips.

Day Two, I dropped the big boys off at school, then headed over to the in-laws to collect their massive stash of cans and bottles. I had the baby with me today, and as I was confident we had at least enough for a shirt, we headed into the bigger town (about 20 mi away) to the nicer can return that is just down the road from the nearest hot topic.

We ended up having three massive carloads all together. The machines were working good, and we only ended up with four to hand count by the end. It took about 90 mins this time to return about $27.00 worth of cans (the true beauty of  better working machines) and mostly were alone in the can room so we could sing, count, and go over all our barnyard animal noises and such.

the third of the three cartloads we took back at this store
(nice indoor return was much better!)
can you see where Edward fell in?

Edward helps by handing me the cans

a bit later we were joined by another guy in the return so I stashed E, he kept looking at me funny, I was wondering why

I'm guessing this had something to do with it ....

I actually got caught in the act by a store employee while I was arranging this next shot, she just smiles at me and says to my baby "does mom play with your toys?" to which I irrationally and immediately stated that no, it was MY toy... on second thought later, it may have been better overall to just let her think it was my son's ...

In the end, we had quite a nice stack of return vouchers,
here Edward proudly stands with the stack of return slips from the second day
he's very happy he could help me achieve my goal.

Edward rolls in the total amount raised,
he's delighted that we had enough for both a shirt and a purse!

Last but not least, there was this blanket at Hot Topic I may have to go back to get ... I guess they have a whole Charlie the Unicorn line as well ...

All in all a very satisfying result for the effort put in. I may have to do this every three months or so, there won't be such a big haul if I do it regularly, but, I can feel less guilty about all the twi-merch I feel compelled to buy at least ...

Pumpkin Carving Bonanza

Edward accompanied me to a pumpkin carving party at Evicia's house today, it went fairly well.

Minward was kind enough to guard my beer while I was setting up my station

Evicia looks a little scared,
and just doesn't look like she should be trusted with very sharp knives ...

Planning out my pumpkin
At first, I had no ideas (can't believe it escaped me!)
It was actually Evicia (sparkly vampire hater on-er)
who suggested I do a "Your little guy" Pumpkin

Edward checks out my Anime Vampire Pumpkin

He thinks it's pretty roomy

Edvanna White shows off the finished product,
not too impressive

until you turn out the light that is,
but then it's pretty okay!

More Parkvicia Encounters!

Recently I went to a local bar to hang out with Parker and Evicia (Ev is their fri and sat night bartender and Parker was finally making it up to the bar to hang)

It was Karaoke night and it was good fun to watch all the drunks wail to songs they could never have a hope of doing justice. Alas, I am not quite brave enough to pull out Pocket E during karaoke night, but, Mose did ask if he was in attendance, and when it was disclosed that he was along and was in the car, it was apparently noted.

When it was time to head out, yep, you guessed it, E made an appearance! Here's what we got:

The "Evil" TwiMakerFunnerOf (even though she's never read it) Evicia trying (and FAILING) to take Edward down.

Don't worry folks, it may look dire, but, Edward gets the upper hand, her teeth are no match for his diamond hard skin!

Parker, unable to stand anyone getting a photo opp with Edward that she's not apart of, can't resist introducing him to her boobs.

And Moses, willing or unwilling, will be included as well ;)

Pocket E Goes to a Party

I recently got invited to the infamous "Parkvicia" Birthday Bash. A double party for two of my friends. (one has the bday aug 6th, the other is aug 12 ... mine's the 18th. I always get invited to their double party, but, am never invited to be one of the co party girls }P)

Little did they know, I was packing Pocket E and we were going to crash the party.

Evicia (like Renesmee, poor Evicia has been saddled with an odd made up name that combines the names of her grandmothers Patricia and Evelynn) refuses to read Twilight and will take every opportunity to roll her eyes at me and say derogatory things about sparkly vampires. I was a little wary of Evicia's reaction to my not only bringing an action figure, but, incessantly taking pictures of it. To this end, the plan was to keep the whole thing on the sly, wait for everyone to get drunk enough to not notice, and to sneak around while snapping a few pics.

Parker, on the other had, loves Twilight, but, is only part way out of the Twi-closet (and with my help is inching out more and more) I figured I could bring her in on my scheme at some point, and was expecting that not only would she be cool with it, but, she'd likely also help out by playing lookout.

After I arrived (late as usual) I started right in with handing out the presents. Nothing like getting a present to distract you from the seven inch action figure stashed in my purse ...
As I am poor, my present to Ev was an electronic bubble popping key chain.

She has a very public LOVE of bubble wrap and has recently reported back to me that she's already logged hours on said keychain. Yay for me, my gifts are popular!

For Parker, on the other hand, I gave the Cullen crest that came with my Pocket E (I even told her the only reason this happened is that I'm getting a bracelet with the crest later this month courtesy of my bday funds, as a true twi fan, she not only wasn't insulted by this explanation, she understood it completely and was very impressed by my great generosity) although she loved it, she couldn't quite figure out what she would do with it. Thankfully after she sobered up the next day, she had a brilliant idea and proceeded to attach it to her front door. Hooray for proper appreciation! (stating she was both proud and horrified of the fact it was there, marking her as a fan, raising questions with all guests, etc.)

For the other part of Parker's present, I took her aside, down the hall, out of site, and whipped out Pocket E. She could barely contain herself. After I told her I was going to let her BORROW him to hold him and pose for a picture, she pretty much lost it. After jumping up and down SQUEEING, this is the picture we got.

yeah, she was rightfully ecstatic about the opportunity bestowed upon her!

But, the side affect of all the jumping and squeeing was that everyone (the other 15 people at the party, none of which were twi fans) wanted to know what was going on. Which was the end of keeping my picture taking, and craziness, on the down low. So, we changed tack and proceeded to tour PE through the whole party in a very public fashion. Much fun was had! To the credit of the non twi fans, there wasn't too much ribbing over all, some were curious, some were entertained by the notion, and only a few tossed out insults here and there. Not even good ones at that.

So without further adieu, here's the photolog of Pocket E's time at the Parkvicia Birthday Bash!

Trying to get in with the festive atmosphere, Edward tries on a party hat ... and then tries it off, it just isn't working.

As it is an adult party, Edward gets his "prop" cup ready to go
He at least TRIES to blend in...

After considering the fact that Peperoni is made of meat (no blood though ...) Edward decides to give it a try. (ends up he's not a fan)

Ever the gentleman, Edward helps cut the cake.

He's nothing if not good with his props.

A little bit further into the night, it seems that Edward is a little too into his "prop" cup.

Edward hangs out at the coffee table for a few minutes to watch cartoon rambo, trying to figure out what everyone's laughing at, and why a bunch of late twenty somethings are watching cartoons.

After a bit, Edward spots some penguins, and of course wants a picture with them.

After spying some potential prey, Edward lies in wait.

After getting him right where he wants him, Edward goes after the big ram.

On the way out the door, Edward spies, and then wants to pose with, Parker's bumper sticker.

All in all, good night, great party! Not quite as bad as I thought it was going to be to have proof of my insanity on my sleeve. (or in my hand as the case may be)

I'm beginning to wonder if my non twi friends accepted it so easily because it's not that strange a thing to do, or if it's because I'm that weird normally it's not that much of a reach...

Edward Helps Productivity

As I mentioned in my other blog (shameless plug for Twinatic) I decided today that I needed to be a bit domestic before Hubs throws the computer out the window and forbades me from Twidom (not that I would listen, but, I like it better when he's happy)

I also decided it would be a lot better if Edward was there to help. (big duh here)

After the distressing realization that my particular Pocket E can't stand up by himself (nearly making me dash into town to rectify the issue at our local toys r us) I decided that until I figure out if any of them can stand by themselves, and if I really want to trade in my first mini E, or just add to the collection, I'll just continue with the kitchen cleaning as planned.

So, here goes:

Volterra if he ever feels the need to bump off

Mini's meet FSE

Check out the shenanigans the Mini-E's get up to over at Twitarded's blog when the ladies introduced the minis to new Full Size Edward

This blog also brings us the phrase "whore-chunk" which has kept me laughing for days and days now. I can't even think about it without giggling. Which has already happened at such awkward times as during "adult funtime" and while on the phone with both my mother and hubs. I really need to not read or think of their blog while on the phone from now on!

Embarking on the Voyage of Being "The Crazy Toy Lady"

I have three boys, so there are action figures in this house. They do get up to many adventures, but, none of them to date had been solely mine, and none of them have been documented with a supporting photographic narrative.

That was until I saw this (posted by VitaminR):

I then realized that I wanted, nay, needed, something that I had never even knew existed. My very own Pocket Edward!

So I went online and ordered one. Within two days of being made aware of his awesomeness, I went *click*, *click*, *click* and he was on the way. I also discovered that he would need a case to protect him, and got one of those on it's way as well.

Today he arrived [SQUEE]

and now I'm debating on if I want to open him before or after I can make sure he'll be safe (and able to be somewhat hidden from hubs who will likely get jealous)

just look at that stinker trying to dazzle his way out of the box!

Once he's released, I'm sure we'll be up to all kinds of fun. I will be posting most of them here or on my other blog Twinatic.

Here though, I will also be keeping up with the other Pocket-E's because I'm a huge fan ;)
